For the first time since May, two of MLB’s top 100 prospects found themselves amongst the top hitters throughout minor league baseball for the week of June 23rd through June 28th.

Shortstop Xavier Neyens of the Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Single-A, Houston Astros) and outfielder Charlie Condon of the Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple-A, Colorado Rockies) were among this week’s top hitters. They were joined at the top by the DSL Rangers Red second baseman, Yeisy Celesten (Dominican Rookie League, Texas Rangers); shortstop Albert Fermin of the DL Astros Orange (Rookie affiliate, Houston Astros); and third baseman Patrick Wisdom of the Tacoma Rainiers (Triple-A, Seattle Mariners).

Xavier Neyens, SS – Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Single-A, Houston Astros)

Neyens, MLB’s No. 90 prospect and the Astros’ No. 2 prospect, was drafted just last year in the first round (pick No. 21 overall) of the 2025 MLB draft out of Mount Vernon High School in Washington. At just 19 years old, he is already impressing and finds himself in his first professional season, spending it in Single-A, skipping right over the rookie league. He has succeeded so far in Fayetteville, including in the last week.

The Woodpeckers this week took on the Delmarva Shorebirds, taking four of six from the Shorebirds. Neyens played in five of the six games, going 4-for-10, hitting .400/.714/1.400 with a 2.114 OPS, the highest among hitters this week. He drove in four hits, including one double, three home runs, driving in six RBIs, and had seven runs scored. He walked an impressive nine times over five games and had one stolen base. His plate discipline is something to be admired, as over the course of the season, he has been walked 63 times.

So far in 2026, the 19-year-old from Washington is hitting a total of .245/.442/.458, with a .900 OPS and a .354 BABIP. He has a combined five doubles and 12 home runs, with 35 RBIs driven in and 41 runs scored, combined with 63 walks. He has an impressive 14 stolen bases. By the time he turns 20, he could find himself playing in Asheville.

Yeisy Celesten, 2B – DSL Rangers Red (Dominican Rookie League, Texas Rangers)

Celesten, 21years old, was signed by the Rangers as a free agent to a minor league contract in 2024. He’s split the last couple of years between the DSL Rangers Red and DSL Rangers Blue, playing this year for the DSL Rangers Red.

This week, the DSL Rangers Red took on the DSL Nationals, DSL Tigers 2 for two, and the DSL Twins.

Celesten played in three games this week, going 6-11, hitting .545/.667/1.273, with a 1.939 OPS. He hit one double, one triple, and one home run this week, driving in five RBIs and six runs scored.

Over the course of the season, the 21-year-old is batting a combined .388/.543/.701, with a 1.244 OPS. He has a .431 BABIP. He has a combined three doubles, three triples, and four home runs, driving in 24 RBIs and 25 runs scored over the course of 18 games played. He has walked 22 times.

Celesten has shown much more success this year than in 2025 and will look to continue that as he strives to get his first call-up.

Albert Fermin, SS – DSL Astros Orange (Rookie Level, Houston Astros), 17 years old

Of very impressive note is one of the youngest players in minor league baseball, Fermin, finding himself in the mix of the top five hitters this week, putting himself at such a young age in a position to be in conversation with much older, more experienced prospects and some veteran players on rehab assignments.

Fermin, the shortstop from Samana, Dominican Republic, was signed by the Astros as a free agent in January.

This week, Fermin and the Astros Orange took on the DSL Astros Blue in-house for two games, the DSL Reds, and the DSL Braves.

Fermin played in all four games this week, going 4-for-9, hitting .444/.688/1.222, with a 1.910 OPS. He had one double and two home runs, driving in seven RBIs and three runs scored. He walked seven times and had three stolen bases.

Over the course of his first rookie season, the 17-year-old is crushing the Dominican League, hitting .361/.500/.574, with a 1.074 OPS and a .432 BABIP. He has four doubles and three home runs, with 18 RBIs driven in and 19 runs scored. He has stolen 11 bases over the course of his first season. It’s been an impressive year for the kid in his first year, and he’ll be a player to keep an eye on in the months and years to come.

Patrick Wisdom, 3B – Tacoma Rainiers (Triple-A, Seattle Mariners)

Wisdom’s time with Triple-A Tacoma began as a Major League rehab assignment as the 34-year-old Mariners veteran third baseman was attempting to rehab back from a left oblique strain. After playing one month back in the Major Leagues, the veteran found himself sent back down to Triple-A earlier this month, where he has since remained.

The Rainiers this week took on the Round Rock Express of the Texas Rangers, taking just two wins over the course of those six games. For Wisdom, he played in five of those games before finding himself suspended for retaliating to being hit by two pitches on June 27.

Prior to his suspension, he had hit .412/.545/1.353, with a 1.898 OPS. He was 7-17, with one double and five home runs, including three on June 27, in which he drove in five RBIs and three runs scored. He walked twice in the series and was hit by two pitches following his three home runs on the 27th.

Over the course of his time in Triple-A this year (32 games), he is batting .309/.420/.882, with a 1.302 OPS. He has four doubles, one triple, and 19 home runs. He has 38 RBIs in Triple-A with 28 runs scored.

Prior to his stints in Triple-A, the 34-year-old has played in 15 games with Seattle in 2026, hitting just a .122/.182/.220, with a .402 OPS and a .333 BABIP. This is part of why he now finds himself back in Triple-A, and with tensions high, he is now suspended after being involved in the Brawl against Round Rock.

Charlie Condon, OF – Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple-A, Colorado Rockies)

Condon has had a marvelous career so far. Drafted in 2024 by the Rockies in the first round (Pick NO. 3 overall) out of the University of Georgia, Condon has rapidly found himself going from rookie league to Triple-A in just two years. It’s no surprise that MLB Pipeline has him ranked as the No. 66 overall prospect and the Rockies’ No. 2 prospect. Known for his upright stance and above-average power, Condon has found success so far in the minor leagues. He has quick bat speed and can catch up to the quick pitching at these levels.

This week, the Isotopes took on the Salt Lake Bees (Los Angeles Angels), splitting the series 3-3 with Salt Lake.

Condon, the 23-year-old Rockies’ No. 2 prospect, was 10-for-20, hitting .500/.583/1.200, with a 1.783 OPS. He appeared in five games, hitting one double, two triples, and three home runs (two on June 28), with nine RBIs and eight runs scored. On June 28, on the last day of the series, he was 3-4, with two home runs and five RBIs.

Over the course of the season, he is batting .280/.411/.564, with a .975 OPS. He has 14 total doubles, with five triples, and 17 home runs. He’s driven in 55 RBIs and 66 runs scored, with five stolen bases. He has a BABIP of .329.

Condon’s already made his way to Triple-A in record speed, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see his name called up to struggling Colorado in the months to come.

Just two weeks remain until the MiLB All-Star Break. For this week’s group of top hitters, some of them could find themselves in different cities at different levels when they come off that break, including top prospects Neyens and Condon. Sirota has also shown strength at the plate and has swiftly moved through the minor leagues as well.
