An absolute monster against lefties in 2026. In just 280 PA, Grichuk slashed .287/.314/.566/.880 with 15 home runs and 46 RBI. A quality small-side platoon option. Unwise to give him a bigger role than that or to expect his power to be quite so impressive a second straight season.

Had an outstanding season for the Mariners at the best possible time- .865 OPS, 148 OPS+, 34 doubles, 26 homers, 26 stolen bases, and even led the American League in runs scored (113). This was far and away the best season of his career. While he may not be able to be exactly this good as he enters his mid-30s, this is still a quality everyday veteran outfield bat who contributes in multiple ways.

Salvaged his career and maybe the Padres' season with a career year: .865 OPS, 21 HR. Mixed with Gold Glove-caliber defense at first and a sharp eye, there's a useful floor here, though he probably won't get paid what he's worth on paper since first basemen are tragically underrated.

Steady, consistent outfielder had the best season of his career in 2026, slashing .270/.368/.473/.841 with 31 doubles, 26 homers, and 86 RBI while walking 81 times. Defense improved substantially too. As solid and reliable a middle-of-the-order bat as you are going to find, although starting to get a bit older.

Excellent defensively, fast, and can hit for a little bit of power. Ideal fourth outfielder posted the best season of his career in 2026, blasting 11 homers over 241 PA while slashing .279/.325/.502/.827. Improved following a deadline trade to the Cubs.

Easily the best catcher available, Jeffers has hit with solid but unspectacular consistency. Though defensively mediocre, he’s a catcher, which makes his offensive prowess that much more significant. He slashed an impressive .256/.353/.461 with 14 home runs, 56 RBI, 46 BB/66 K. Unfortunately, he was limited to just 369 PA after a fractured hamate bone caused him to miss nearly two months.

The strange career of Gary Sanchez continues. He slashed .209/.349/.422/.771 with 12 homers, 38 RBI, and 46 BB/59 K over 275 PA in 2026. It was easily the highest walk rate of his career, although his defense at both catcher and first base was quite poor, making his 2023 defensive season look even more like a fluke. At this stage of his career, El Gary is a perfectly fine bat-first backup catcher who can help you out with his power as a DH or backup first baseman as well.

The 2022 NL MVP had put together a nice season in a part-time role for the Yankees in 2026. Over 380 PA, Goldschmidt slashed .252/.313/.452 with 18 home runs, 52 RBI, and 29 BB/86 K. Defensively still sound, he’s best utilized as the short part of a platoon who can fill in at DH and serve as a strong mentor to the younger players. Motivated given he’s still never won a World Series and doesn’t have a slam dunk Hall of Fame case just yet, merely a decent one.
PA: 380 HR: 18 SB: 1 BB: 29 SO: 86 BA: .252 OBP: .313 SLG: .452 OPS: .765
