I would rather see MLB go to a split season with playoffs of winners (and maybe add 2 more teams in each league) in October. The season is too long as a 162 game season even with wild cards. All sports have seasons that are way too watered down and it's no longer always true that the best teams win the whole thing. But we know that money talks so why even speculate. Personally I don't follow or care about those mid-season tournaments but love the baseball All-Star game.
