Baseball Movie Review: A League of Their Own (1992)
Frayed Knot replied to Tyomoth's topic in Major League Baseball Talk
There was definitely a story to be told here and props to Geena Davis ... but I never got through it. I saw it as Madonna playing Madonna; Jon Lovitz playing Jon Lovitz; Rosie O'Donnell playing a character that was cartoonishly pathetic. Plus Tom Hanks was miscast and the film has one memorable line. I know mine is a minority opinion so, as always, your mileage may vary. But the next time I watch it start to finish will be my first.
